It's been two years since Super Nintendo World opened its doors in Osaka, Japan, and now the first American counterpart is ready to welcome visitors. On February 17th, 2023, Universal Studios Hollywood will open its very own Super Nintendo World, an area of the park that promises to bring the beloved characters of the Nintendo franchise to life. This new theme land will feature a variety of attractions, including Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, an augmented reality-powered go-kart simulator inspired by Nintendo's racing franchise.
Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge is the centerpiece attraction of Super Nintendo World. Guests will be able to put on an AR visor and be transported into an alternate digital world full of racetracks, Koopa shells, and familiar competitors. Using the steering wheel trigger, guests can blast their way through the course in a virtual race against other racers.
In addition to the Mario Kart attraction, Super Nintendo World will also feature a variety of other activities for visitors to enjoy. There will be interactive game stations, shops and restaurants, and even a live stage show featuring some of Nintendo's most beloved characters. Guests will be able to take pictures with their favorite characters, play classic Nintendo games, and even buy exclusive Nintendo merchandise.
Super Nintendo World will also be home to a variety of special events throughout the year. The park will host birthday parties, movie screenings, and even tournaments for the most dedicated Nintendo fans. There will also be special events and promotions throughout the year to keep visitors coming back for more.
