Fan-favorite GTA 4 Multiplayer Mode Could Appear in GTA Online

In 2013, Rockstar released GTA 5 to the world. The game was an instant hit, and its online multiplayer mode, GTA Online, quickly became a sensation. However, it turns out that GTA Online nearly featured a fan-favorite multiplayer mode from GTA 4.

In 2008, Rockstar released GTA 4 to critical acclaim. One of the game's most popular features was its multiplayer mode, which allowed up to 16 players to compete in a variety of online modes. The model in question is "Cops n' Crooks", which was a popular multiplayer mode in GTA IV. In "Cops n' Crooks," players are divided into two teams - the cops and the criminals. The objective of the mode is for the criminals to successfully escape from the cops and for the cops to catch the criminals.

One of the most popular modes was "Cops 'n' Crooks", which pits teams of police officers against teams of criminals.

However, "Cops n' Crooks" was ultimately cut from GTA Online. It is unknown why the mode was cut, but it is likely due to the fact that GTA Online is a much different game than GTA IV, and "Cops n' Crooks" may not have fit well into the online world.

Interestingly, it seems that Rockstar had plans to include "Cops 'n' Crooks" in GTA Online but ultimately decided against it. In an interview with IGN, Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies said that the mode was "too complex" for GTA Online.

"Cops 'n' Crooks" is a mode that requires a lot of coordination and teamwork, and it seems that Rockstar felt that it wouldn't fit in with the chaotic nature of GTA Online. However, many fans were disappointed that the mode didn't make it into the final game.

It's interesting to think about what could have been if "Cops 'n' Crooks" had made it into GTA Online. The mode is a fan favorite, and it would have added another layer of depth to the already-complex online multiplayer mode. However, Rockstar ultimately decided against it, likely because they felt it wouldn't fit in with the overall tone of GTA Online.

Despite the fact that "Cops n' Crooks" was cut from GTA Online, the mode is still fondly remembered by many GTA fans. Who knows, maybe one-day Rockstar will bring the mode back to GTA Online.
